We're making the jump from the South Island to the North Island on the 1:15 ferry today. We are currently in Nelson and have about a two hour drive ahead of us. Given our past history with ferries on this trip, we're going to give ourselves a lot of extra time to get there and get checked in. Three hours on the trip up gives us time to plan our strategy for the North Island.
