We Must Be Nuts

We finally got our great big tent and have started our camping adventure through New Zealand.  It's currently 52 degrees outside with a wind that cuts right through you, but the stars are out and the day was absolutely beautiful.  We got out of Christchurch late so we headed out to Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula and drove along the rim of the crater that makes up the beautiful bays.  Tomorrow we're heading inland for a visit to Mt. Hutt and the Rakaia Gorge before heading to a DoC site in Peel Forest to set up camp once again.
