Singapore in Style for Christmas

Tim surprised me in Singapore by having a car waiting for us at the airport and booking a room at the St. Regis hotel for our stay through Christmas.    After having coffee brought to us by our butler this morning for breakfast in bed, I'm thinking I could get used to this kind of pampering.  We are just off Orchard Road and the lights and shopping bustle are amazing.  There is a countdown to Christmas tonight and tomorrow, the entire street will be closed to traffic for a Christmas celebration. 

We hope to get to the Singapore Zoo and spend some time on the beach at Sentosa over the next couple of days.  A ferry trip across to Malaysia is also on the itinerary.  Of course, there is lots of shopping and exploring the different neighborhoods as well as ample opportunities to eat ourselves silly.  There is so much to see and do here I am glad we have six days to explore.
