Notre Sabbatique or Our Sabbatical

Tim and I have decided to take some time off and go exploring. Our journey will take us from San Juan, Puerto Rico, all over Europe, the Society Islands, and who knows from there. We are creating this journal to keep friends and family up-to-date on our adventures and ask for recommendations on what to see and do along the way.

In Europe, we plan to travel by train stopping along the way as something catches our interest. We are planning to stay in certain cities for about a week to allow us to catch up on laundry, stock up, and explore the surrounding area. All of our current stops are subject to change and we will keep you posted as we go.

Here is our rough itinerary:

• February 27 - March 6: Aruba
  
• March 6 - 15: San Juan, Puerto Rico, to catch Pool D play in the World Baseball Classic
• March 16: Arrive in London and catch a train to Paris
  
• Late March: Rome
• Mid April: Athens
• Late April: Dubrovnik
• Early May: Chiasso
• Mid May: Vienna
• Mid May: Berlin
• Late May: Amsterdam
• June: Ireland, Scotland, and the UK
• July to mid-August: Society Islands
• Mid-August to mid-September: Australia
• Mid-September to ???: Exploring the islands around Australia including Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, Fiji, Tonga, or wherever the whim takes us
