Hiding out in Museums

Since the museums in London are free, we thought hiding out in an air conditioned building all day would be a good way to take a break from the heat. The National Gallery was great and well worth the trip. We were in for a big surprise when we hit the British Museum. It is not air conditioned and with massive windows and tons of people inside, the temps were almost as bad as the tube. There are a lot of great artifacts and the museum is definitely a must see, just don't attempt it during a heat wave.

Reports are it reached 38C (100F) yesterday inside some of the tube lines. Thunderstorms are on the way tonight and tomorrow to help bring some relief from the heat - just in time for us to head out to the desert.
